At Virgil Convalescent Hospital, residents are provided with the resources needed to improve their quality of life. Our professional nursing staff provides compassionate, quality care 24 hours a day.

Rehabilitation services are individually designed for each resident. Such services may include physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapies as well as audiology, hydrotherapy, wound management and specialized skin care. Our professional staff is able to treat many types of disorders including fractures, joint replacement, stroke, and arthritis.

A full time activities director plans programs to help residents stay young-at-heart. We offer a wide spectrum of classes in arts and crafts, cooking, and gardening. Virgil residents enjoy musical entertainment, sing-alongs, movies, religious services, outdoor activities, field trips and monthly birthday parties and holiday celebrations. The on-site beauty salon and barbershop assure resident's the ease of keeping up their appearance and grooming. Optional laundry services are available.

We pride ourselves in serving nutritious and appetizing meals, carefully prepared under the supervision of our registered dietician. A multi-cultural menu brings the flavor of home to our tables. Three well-balance meals are served daily and ongoing nutritional assessments are made. Meals adhere to standards of the American Dietetics Association.

Virgil Convalescent Hospital offers admission counseling, helping you to understand medical and insurance terminologies. A social worker is always available. Our central location is easily accessible to freeways and public transportation.
