Santa Anita Convalescent Hospital, located in a residential neighborhood near the San Gabriel Mountains, offers quality health care for seniors. For over 60 years, we have been dedicated to preserving the dignity and self-respect of our residents. We have a bilingual staff trained in sensitivity to cultural diversity. Registered nurses and respiratory therapists are on duty 24 hours. Over 80 community physicians are affiliated with Santa Anita Convalescent Hospital. We offer a secured Alzheimer's Unit and a Medicare-certified Sub Acute Unit.

By developing individualized rehabilitation and activity programs, we help residents return to self-sufficiency. Bedside rehabilitation is available when necessary. Our Wound Care Program offers services normally rendered only at a hospital. We have treated difficult-to-heal wounds and enabled many people to successfully return to the community. The objectives of our Respiratory Program are to provide quality care and dignity for ventilator-dependent and Tracheotomy patients and to wean these patients from supportive equipment if possible.

Our location consists of multiple buildings located around a courtyard with garden patios and a tranquil koi fish fountain. Single and double rooms can be personalized and pets are welcome. Our beauty salon and barbershop help residents look and feel their best. Residents and family can socialize at our on-site coffee shop. An on-premises non-denominational chapel offers residents a place to worship and reflect. Art, cooking, and gardening classes in addition to various social and recreation programs provide an active and fulfilling daily schedule.

Our full time Registered Dietician assesses each resident's nutritional needs, develops a diet and monitors their progress. Monthly candlelight dinners are given, offering an intimate ambiance for residents and their families. We provide familiar and comforting ethnic menu selections. Our skilled nurses are trained in tube feeding. Through the caring support given by Santa Anita Convalescent Hospital's professional staff and doctors, every effort is made to provide a nurturing environment for all residents.
